Annie Trevora
Annie Trevorah's multi-disciplinary practice takes a panoptic and cinematic approach; is highly narrative and often installation based embracing sculpture, textiles, print, photography, video and sound.
Trevorah's particular areas of interest are human, non-human interconnectivity, bio-morphism, ecofeminism and ecological harmony. Drawing inspiration from Donna Haraway's "A Cyborg Manifesto," she imagines a world where nature and women take center stage challenging the prevailing human-centered narrative of the Anthropocene.
Her recent solo show Altered Tides (June 2025) saw her move with confidence and finnese into a new terrain: materially, conceptually and spatially where she has produced her most ambitious body of work to date.
Trevorah's sculptures, both whimsical and sensual, embody a vision of resistance, transformation and revenge, where 'nothing is as it seems'. Her choice of materials includes found seed pods, ostrich quills, wasp hive casings, kelp, re-purposed and found objects. Her sculptures also speak of hope, inviting viewers to embrace hybridity and connection and urging them to forge new alliances with the natural world.
