Women Work, submitted to Teignmouth Trail Exhibition won Best Artist Award, the highest award at the exhibition. I was then invited to exhibit it at the Devon Guild of Craftsmen Exhibition at the Riverside Gallery in Bovey Tracey in October 2018. It is now on display at Mount Pleasant Gardens, Chester.
Women Work is made from recycled car body panels and the base is an industrial mixing bowl. I made it in response to the public saying they were surprised that Transcription was made by a woman. I also wanted to make something feminine to celebrate 100 years since women gained the right to vote.
