Lucy Kinsella

Born in Hampshire in 1960, Lucy Kinsella attained a BA Hon’s in sculpture at Loughborough University. During her time as a student she was awarded the Dante Alighieri Travelling Scholarship to Florence, and the Dennis Holt Travelling Bursary spent in southern Ireland.
Lucy Kinsella creates an exciting celebration of nature through her innovative wildlife and figurative sculptures. Her studies range from delicate table-top bronzes to life size and monumental scale sculptures. Maquettes modelled in wax offer her a simple, effective means of viewing composition and structure. Larger pieces are worked in clay with a bold, spontaneous treatment of the surface. Kinsella’s trademark lies in the expressive handling and fine detailing that captures the movement and energy of her chosen subject.
Her work is collected throughout UK as well as Europe, Middle East, East Asia, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
